Berry Meadow Farm, established by Kevin & Carole Schumann in 1999, has been raising alpacas since 2001. Our constantly expanding alpaca herd consists of award winning alpacas in a variety of colors, including rare multi-colored alpacas of full Peruvian descent. The lineage of our herd includes the genetics of such famous alpacas as Hemingway, Caligula, Altiplano Gold & Mr. President.
We pride ourselves on the level of handling & training given to each and every one of our alpacas, many of which have won show ribbons in halter, fleece and various performance classes.
Our alpaca garments and accessories offer unparalleled warmth, softness and comfort. Alpaca is a truly luxurious fiber. Carole’s focus on alpaca yarn and products is responsible for Berry Meadow Farm’s immensely popular ‘Alpackits’ line of alpaca knitting and crochet kits.
Berry Meadow Yarn is milled in the USA and comes in naturally occurring colors. We do not dye our yarn but use the 22 recognized alpaca colors and blends. Berry Meadow Yarn is available in limited quantities and has quickly become the yarn of choice for many fiber artists.
