Berry Meadow Farm
Berry Meadow Farm is located in the scenic Champlain Valley of Vermont. We are nestled between the Green Mountains to the east and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the west in the small town of Orwell (population 1250). We are a family owned diversified farm dedicated to promoting alpacas, alpaca fiber and producing exceptional all natural yarns and alpaca garments. We also grow seasonal small fruits and vegetables, hardy perennials, and raise satin angora rabbits.
Our alpaca herd consists of award winners in a variety of colors, including multi-colored "fancy" alpacas of full-Peruvian descent. Many of our alpacas have won show ribbons in halter, fleece and various performance competitions throughout the country.
Berry Meadow Yarn is "Born, Shorn and Spun in the USA" and comes in naturally occurring colors. We do not dye our yarn but use the 22 recognized alpaca colors and blends. Many of our yarns are produced from the fleece of individual alpacas for the utmost in yarn consistancy. We produce various weights of yarn from laceweight to bulky. Berry Meadow Yarn has become the yarn of choice for many fiber artists.
Our alpaca garments and accessories offer unparalleled warmth, softness and comfort. Alpaca is a truly luxurious fiber. Our knitting kits, and knitting and crochet patterns have been used worldwide to create some of the most beautiful handknit items imaginable.
